OK, it’s definitely too soon to proclaim Squeet the winner of the RSS to Email services, especially since I just started playing with it this AM, but on first look it’s very impressive! Here are the highlights: You can choose the frequency with which you will receive posts (as they become available, once per day, once per week). You can choose to receive HTML or Text email. They offer a very nice snippet of code to allow your visitors to receive your feed via email. And finally, you can create an account with Squeet and manage all of your subscribed feeds from one place. Oh, and they offer a Firefox plugin that will help you subscribe to feeds via Squeet. It’s a very polished site – give it a looksee!

I agree. I love them, but where is your Squeet button and why are you using r-mail to power your email subscription?
Hey, give me some time – as I said, I just found Squeet this AM, and I barely had time to write the post, let alone switch things around on my blog 🙂
So it’s just like FeedBlitz – http://www.feedblitz.com – only it doesn’t give the publisher of the blog any value (because you don’t see who is following your blog) or support OPML syndication. So it’s a very good change from RMail, but there are richer services like FeedBlitz available that deliver the same service AND add value to the content provider. But, full disclosure, I’m biased since I founded FeedBlitz 🙂
Thanks for the comments Phil – I went back and looked at Feedblitz again and see that you do offer the same services and more, but the more is at a price. Perhaps I should modify the post to say best free (for now?) RSS to email service. 🙂 I do use Feedblitz too and have found it very reliable. It was really the option to schedule (for free) that caught my eye with Squeet.
I disagree with Phil. Increasing readership and providing subscribers with a free, feature-rich RSS to Email service does have value for publishers. Squeet Publisher will be released soon, which will add even more value.
However, Squeet does not and never will provide publishers with their subscribers’ email addresses, like FeedBlitz does by default. We are committed to maintaining one of the fundamental RSS benefits: privacy. Squeet also won’t send you one email a day with all of your RSS feeds in it. Instead, users can choose manual, daily, live, or weekly delivery on a per feed basis.
A browser add-on button allows users to quickly and easily preview any RSS feeds they come across while surfing. If the preview is satisfactory subscribing is one click away for existing Squeet account holders.

I encourage readers to check out both services and go with the one that best meets their needs. Disclaimer: I’m a Squeet user, and I work with Squeet’s parent company, Axosoft. But, even if I worked for FeedBlitz, I’d still use Squeet. 🙂
