The ACRL Distance Learning Section invites you to join us for our 15th
anniversary program entitled "Distance Learning: We Know Where We’ve Been,
But Where Are We Going?" on Saturday, June 25, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. in Ball
Room V at the Sheraton.
Our program will explore some of the emerging hot topics in distance
learning and librarianship with an outstanding line up of speakers, including:
* Ashley Ellen Bonnette, Bibliographic Instruction & Distance Learning
Librarian at the University of Louisiana, Lafayette on "How Do Diversity
Issues Affect Distance Learning?"
* Karen B. Brown, Associate Professor in the Graduate School of Library
and Information Science at Dominican University on "Providing Distance
Learning Library Services: Are New MLS Graduates Ready?"
* Arthur Young, Dean of University Libraries at Northern Illinois
University on "Leadership Attributes, Mature Learners, and Distance Education"
In addition, we will present Martha Kreszock, Coordinator of Distance
Learning Studies at Appalachian State University, with the 2005 ACRL
Distance Learning Section Haworth Press Distance Learning Librarian
Conference Sponsorship Award.
