For PC, Captivate and Camtasia are the leading screen recorder with powerful editing features. I am using an alternative of Captivate called DemoCreator(http://www.sameshow.com/demo-creator.html ), not that powerful as Captivate, but a really good screen recording software to may software tutorial and system demos.
