Apparently people want scholarly articles
The Chronicle of Higher Education reports on a recently-published study that monitored a file-sharing site where almost 5,500 scholarly articles were traded over a 6-month period, “costing journals about $700,000 in that time, or about $1.4-million a year.” Interestingly, the study is freely available online from The Internet Journal of Medical Informatics.
